The dead victim whose identity could not be ascertained as of press time was said to have been killed by a telecoms mast around Gordon Barracks.
According to an eye witness, the victim was dressed in corporate wears suggesting that he was going for work.
However, reports from across Lagos said many people were injured and property worth millions of naira destroyed,as a result of the torrential rain left Lagosians who were already on their way to work scampering for safety.
At the Third Mainland Bridge, most of the electric poles, bill boards and street lights fell on the road thereby compounding the traffic situation at the bridge.
