Mr Samuel Tizhe, the Public Relations Officer of the command in Maiduguri said that the suspect was arrested after investigation, adding that some arms and ammunitions were recovered from him.
"One Mallam Bello Abdullahi was arrested at Magumeri with two Ak 47 rifles and eight magazines. The suspect also had 117 ammunition in his possession," Tizhe said.
He said that the police was already on the trail of some of his accomplices.
"We have began manhunt for the other members of the gang and investigation is already on-going in the case," Tizhe said.
