At least two killed in central Nigeria attack

Abuja. At least two people were killed and several others wounded on Monday when herdsmen attacked a village in Nigeria's central Plateau state, government spokesman Ayuba Pam said.
The ethnic Fulani herdsmen, predominantly Muslims, attacked ethnic Christian Berom in Rim village outside Jos, the state capital, he told an AFP correspondent, without giving further details.
A politician in the area, Emmanuel Loman, confirmed the killings.
Nigeria's population of 160 million is roughly divided between a mainly Muslim north and predominantly Christian south.
Hundreds have died in recent years in communal clashes in Plateau state.
