UPDATE: An explosive device was discovered this morning at the Old Campus of Bayero University Kano. Police say people have been evacuated while its anti-bomb squad was called to carry out a controlled detonation. Sources said the device was

 planted at the Faculty of Law and Sciences, but were successfully removed and there was no casualty as the police diffused the explosive device.

Yesterday disaster was averted when the school security guards on duty reportedly discovered two locally-made bombs at the Faculties of Law and Sciences. The State Police Commissioner, Alh. Ibrahim Idris, confirmed the discovery but said they were yet to ascertain who planted the bombs.
