The inter-agency outfit responsible for maintaining security in Jos, the Plateau State capital, the Security Task Force, on Saturday uncover a bomb factory in the city.
The team stumbled on the factory during a raid on the Rikkos area of the metropolis.
The spokesperson of the state command of the Nigerian Police, Samuel Dabai, who confirmed the incident, said no arrest was made during the raid, but that the authorities have commenced investigations into the ownership of the factory.
"We are not suspecting anybody yet but we have started investigating,"he said.
Witnesses said the STF, after a tip off, raided a house in the area suspected to be a hideout for Boko Haram members.
Sources also said a cache of arms and ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the house.
They also said the STF arrested some women and children found in the house.
The source, who pleaded anonymity, for fear he might be arrested, said one of the women was alleged to be the wife of the suicide bomber who attacked ThisDay newspaper office in Abuja recently.
