Our correspondent gathered that the incident occurred at about 11.00am Wednesday. The gunmen trailed the General Manager to his office situated in the state' Low Cost Housing Estate, where they shot him dead while attempting to enter his private car parked behind his office.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Jubrin Gideon in a telephone interview said information at his disposal revealed that the General Manager of the Borno state Housing Corporation, Engr. Isa Madu has been killed by yet to be unidentified assailants.
He said that immediately after the attackers killed the GM, they made away with his vehicle, before the arrival of security agents.
The PPRO said investigation is still on so as to apprehend the fleeing assailants, even as he urged the public to assist police and other security agencies with information on the hideouts of criminals and terrorist in the state.
