KANO – Hundreds of sympathisers joined the new Inspector General of Police, Muhammad Dikko Abubakar at the Tarauni cemetery, Monday afternoon, to bury the remains of his wife, Hajiya Maryam Dikko Abubakar, who passed on at the early hours of today (Monday) in Kano.
Maryam Abubakar, 47 , died in the family house at Gwandu Albasa quarters of Kano State after a long battle with cancer.
The IGP was said to have flown to Kano at 11:30am following the news of death of his wife and was at the cemetery to perform the dust-to-dust rites.
Sympathisers, friends and well wishers of the new police chief moved to his home to join other Muslims faithful for special prayers for the repose of the soul of his late wife.
