AT last, Nigeria's first ever wind propelled power project is ready for commissioning.
The 10 mega watts wind farm, which was conceived in 2009 as a major step towards finding alternative energy sources for the nation's power sector,is due for commissioning in July this year in Kastina State.
The project was funded by the Funded by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Minister of State for Power, Darius Ishaku, who received a delegation from Kastina State Government in his office in Abuja on Wednesday, called on the state to join hands with the federal government in wooing private investors to state to participate in the provision of electricity through a private public partnership(PPP) arrangement.
The minister noted that the Federal Government was making all efforts to provide lasting solutions to the challenges in the power sector.
